Ram Gaurav Tamba is a highly skilled and accomplished Model Research Analyst currently working at lotusdew, an early-stage Tech Investment Startup. With over 4 years of experience in the field of data science and engineering, Ram has worn many hats and has worked on a variety of projects. He has built the backend cloud infrastructure from the ground up to power Lotusdew's interactive customer onboarding site. He has also developed Derivatives strategy generators and backtesting applications as part of an outsourced client IT contract for one of India's largest and oldest stock brokers. Additionally, he has worked on short term Financial data-science projects to develop proof-of-concept strategies. Ram has also project managed a team of junior employees to deliver both internal requirements as well as outsourced requirements. Ram has previously worked as a Cognitive Engineer at CognitiveScale, where he collaborated with the R&D team to deploy models on CognitiveScale’s AI orchestration platform. He has also worked as a Google Summer of Code Student at Ruby Science Foundation, where he created SpiceRub, a Ruby wrapper for NASA's C SPICE Toolkit by writing Ruby C extensions and a more intuitive high-level API. Ram is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Financial Engineering from UCLA Anderson School of Management, which he is expected to complete in December 2023. He has also completed an International Scholar program in the Faculty of Medicine from the University of Leuven in 2017 and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Master of Science (MSc.) in Computer Science and Biological Sciences from BITS in 2017. He has also completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Ram is highly proficient in a variety of technologies, including Research Scientist, Ruby, Data Scientist, DevOps, Backend, infra, AI, and Python. He is seeking Quant Finance Internships for Summer 2023 and is excited to bring his skills and experience to a new challenge.
